08/11/2011 09:51

On Sunday the 6th November the Baines Motorsport Team headed out to Nepean for the round 5 rerun  with the NSWSKC .

As a reward to Jake for his hard work raising funds and awarenes for Breast cancer Research , Wayne had organised a visit from Glenn McGrath and his son James to surprise Jake .

Around 12:30 whilst Jake was preparing his kart for his 3rd heat , he looked up and saw Glenn walking through the pits , to say he was stunned was an understatement .

The visit had been keep a surprise from him .

After the 3rd round of heats were run both Glenn and James suited up and got into the karts for a go .

James got into Jakes kart and loved his drive , meanwhile finding a kart to fit Glenn proved difficult however he was able to fit into Tim Baker's Parramatta Kart warehouse kart .

Alana had the opportunity to go out with Glenn and cut some laps , Glenn looked at home as he ran wheel to wheel with Alana .

After the lunch break Jake and Wayne ran their feature races and once over James and Glenn were able to have extended goes in the karts and agian they both had a great time with James asking " Can i do this Dad , can i race " .

After all the racing had been completed Glenn was good enough to give the club more of his time as he stayed for presentation and handed out the trophies .

He thanked all the club members for a great day and stayed to sign autographs and take photos with everyone .

It was a great day for the team and the club and everyone is very grateful that Glenn was so giving of his time to them .

Jake Finished 4th on the day and Wayne was 5th after another heat 1 curse struck results can be found in the results section .
